Born in Tehran on the 23rd October 1948. BSc from London’s Queen Mary university, U.K., Member of ‘Maison des Artistes’ Paris Since 1985. Studied Art at various Higher Education Art Colleges in the USA and U.K.

Since 1987, has regularly participated in sales at the “Drouot Auctions” in Paris and has quotations listed on most Internet sales/price, Art websites as (www.artprice.com) listed as ABOL.

Having started with Nouvelle figuration in France, I was always interested in calligraphy because of its intense graphic effect and its beauty, in 1996, I decided to take up the challenge and after studying the sacred Art of calligraphy through books and visual appreciation, I executed through trial and error few paintings until I gained self confidence to take up large format calligraphy in Thuluth and Kufi on canvas. At the same time, I was very much interested in Poems written by the great Persian Sufi and Poet, Jalal e din Mollana known as “Rumi”. And having discovered the source of his inspirations, decided to dedicate all my calligraphies to him.

I am today exploring new frontiers in different possibilities of designing modern calligraphy in very large format and this will be my challenge for the next few years Inshalah.
